Started in our parish,
this group also supports the parishes of St.
John Chrysostom and Holy Martyrs of Japan.
They provide support to individuals who are
experiencing grief because of the death of
a loved one. This group sends cards, visits
if requested, and organizes memorial services
and information evenings.
St. Elizabeth Seton Parish offers the Ministry of Consolation and Hope. This ministry provides bereavement support for those people who have experienced the death of one whom they have loved. The members of the Ministry of Consolation and Hope include individuals who have received education and formation in order to journey with people who have experienced death. They will visit individuals and families, share information about grief and mourning. They can provide support on behalf of the parish as we experience the emotions of grief and express our grief through mourning. Anyone who is copi+ng with bereavement is welcome at our monthly drop in for a time of prayer, shared stories and mutual support. We meet at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish the last Wednesday of the month from 2:30-4pm in the parish library.
